On this day 26 years ago at the 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟒 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬, Sport Australia Hall of Fame legend Cathy Freeman won the women's 400m gold medal and celebrated her win by carrying the Aboriginal flag with the Australian flag around the track.
